Ruined Experience: You get what you pay for.
NB This is from my experience. Any views shared are purely my own and do not mean to cause any disturbances.
I made the rookie mistake of going to a live orchestra show in Liverpool... I had it coming.

To set the scene, I had bought my mother and I two tickets 🎫 to see a live orchestra of violins, viola's and cellos (my favourite instrument) celebrating 'the 100th Anniversary of Warner Bros. and discover astonishing cinema, music, and iconic magical moments from the Warner Bros. library at St George's Hall under the gentle glow of candlelight.'
Wow... doesn't that sound magical! Sadly, not for me.
Part #1: Seating Arrangement

The only last 2 tickets remaining were in Zone A although if I went by myself I could have got the last Premium seating ticket which was front row (about 7 rows in front of where I was sat with my mum).
When we arrive, it seems to be a 'first come, first serve' seating arrangement which is already interesting for a classical music event. Nevertheless, I am still in Zone A and can see the stage well, so I'm content ... at this stage.
The ⭐ Candlelight concert hall did bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to an awe-inspiring location in Liverpool constructed of viola, violins and cello 🎻. It's a shame my experience was negatively impacted.
Part #2: 'It' Begins
By 'it' I mean the music and the disrupting Liverpoodlians sat behind us.
For anyone who may not be familiar, you are meant to come to these events and sit quietly whilst the musicians play the songs ... makes sense right? ...
The Programme Lineup:
The Wizard of Oz - Over the Rainbow (1939)
Casablanca - As Time Goes By (1942)
Singin’ in the Rain - Singin’ in the Rain (1952)
Scooby-Doo - Theme Song (1969)
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - Pure Imagination (1971)
The Exorcist - Theme Song (Tubular Bells) (1973)
Purple Rain - Purple Rain (1984)
Batman - Main Theme (1989)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - Suite (2001)
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Hogwarts’ Anthem (2005)
Inception - Time (2010)
Wonder Woman - Suite (2017)
A Star is Born - Shallow (2018)
Friends - I’ll Be There for You (1995)
The first song 'Over the Rainbow' begins and so does the woman behind me ... O. M . G.
She starts crying, sniffling and telling everyone x4 that it was her wedding song... as they are playing ...
Emotions are natural and fine which is why I kept quiet, even when the song ended and she repeated to her row that it was played at her wedding a further 3 times.
Next song starts ... she starts talking AGAIN to her partner and the couple she came with. There's really nothing to discuss when listening to a violin unless you know the artist or have studying the art for years in order to comment. She was neither.
I let them 'discuss' whatever they felt necessary during three songs! This still wasn't enough for them.
Part #3: I've had enough
It came to the third pieces break whist the cellist introduced the next song, and i had to say something. So I turned around and asked them "for one song can you not talk?" and turned back around. What I later realised to be a very drunk woman, made some jokes at my expense, for example "shh everyone we can't breathe now" etc, but this would have been fine with me.
Part #4: It kicks off
They settle down for a good 2 minutes before i start hearing THE disruptive woman, telling a row of three people behind her to shush!!! The ironyyyy
At this point I knew it was about to kick off and not to get involved.
Next minute, I'm hearing "shut the f*ck up", "you're actually being unnecessary", "I cant hear the music over your voices" etc etc 😳 And this isn't me remember!
Turns out the woman behind me is now arguing with a row of three white women behind her! LOL.
It continues...
